Job description for Sales Manager at Bliss Surfer Hotel
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to maximize hotel revenue through room sales, meeting and event business and other hotel services. This role manages key client relationships, identifies new business opportunities, leads the sales team (if applicable) and works closely with other departments to achieve the hotel's revenue, occupancy and market share objectives while maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in corporate, government, travel agents, MICE, wholesale, domestic and leisure markets.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client visits and business presentations.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts and business partners.
- Negotiate corporate contracts, room rates and service agreements.
- Achieve room night, banquet, meeting and overall sales targets.
- Maximize hotel occupancy and average daily rate (ADR) through effective sales strategies.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and potential risks.
- Support the implementation of revenue optimization strategies in collaboration with the Revenue or Reservations team.
- Maintain a strong portfolio of existing clients.
- Ensure timely follow-up on inquiries, quotations, contracts and business proposals.
- Conduct regular account reviews to identify opportunities for additional business.
- Resolve client concerns professionally to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales activity reports.
- Maintain accurate client records and sales databases.
- Update sales forecasts, pipelines and production reports.
- Ensure all contracts and agreements comply with company policies.
- Participate in sales promotions, travel fairs, exhibitions, networking events and familiarization (FAM) trips.
- Support digital marketing initiatives by providing market insights and customer feedback.
- Supervise, coach and develop sales team.
- Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback.
- Conduct sales meetings and encourage continuous improvement.
- Maintain excellent relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event organizers and government institutions.
- Ensure prompt response to guest inquiries and requests.
- Follow up with clients after events or stays to strengthen long-term partnerships.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and hotel standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
