Job description for Sales Development Representative at Eventx
EventX’s sales team is looking to capitalize on the momentum that comes with being in one of the fastest-growing industries globally. A big part of that strategy is expanding our team of Sales Development Representatives (SDR).
A SDR is a salesperson-in-training. Previous sales experience in technology is a plus, but it is not a requirement. You do not need a high degree of technical knowledge for this role.
This position has advancement potential within the sales team. As a SDR, you will help Account Executives cultivate leads and sell EventX to businesses. Thereafter, you will begin to nurture leads of your own as an Account Executive, and will take a generous commission for the relationships you help to create. This means that if you work hard and smart, you can out-earn many of your peers.
Key Responsibilities
· Generate interest and create opportunities with new prospects via multiple channels (cold calling, email, LinkedIn, ZoomInfo etc.) to build a pipeline of targeted prospects
· Map prospective accounts around organizational structure, people and existing technology
· Conduct high-level consultative conversations with C-Level executives and decision makers across your pipeline
· Maintain accurate records of all activities in CRM and promote database cleanup and hygiene through regular and ongoing maintenance activities
Requirements
· The ability to write succinct, crisp emails and a great phone manner
· Software/SaaS experience, sales experience or other related business experience is a plus
· Evidence of high academic achievement and/or prior success in extra-curricular activities
