Job description for Quantity Surveyor at Citi Groups Of Companies
Responsibilities;
• Periodically travel to site for site meetings, on-site measurement and data collection;
• Manage Pre-Tender to post contract QS services and responsible for contract documentation;
• Take off quantities and participate in private and public project tenders, work out variations claim, verify
measurements with the client;
• Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
• Performing risk, value management and cost control;
• Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports;
• Assess and submit monthly progressive claim and recommend subcontractors’ monthly progress payment;
• Certify and evaluate progress work done, includes contract administration for variations for both main contract
and subcontract works;
• Responsible to prepare necessary documentations from shortlisting to award contracts, process include
evaluation, comparison and recommendation;
• Monitor records and manage all correspondences, meeting minutes, variation orders relevant to the Main
Contractors, Subcontractors and Suppliers;
• Prepare method of statement and work procedure;
• Assist the project team in-coordination with consultants; safety personnel regarding safety related matters;
• Do awarding of subcontracts and preparation of subcontracts related documents;
• Sourcing and purchasing of materials and related products needed for production;
• Finalise main contract and subcontract’s final account;
• Handles interim and final payment claims and feedback comment to payment response to Management;
• Preparation & Revision of Construction Programmes & follow-up delay claims;
• Liaise and establish rapport with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects and developers.
• Source for sub-contractors and suppliers and negotiate the best possible price for the company.
Requirements;
• Possess a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering or
equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Quantity Surveying for building projects/cost control & contract administration
would be an added advantage.
• Detailed with excellent problem solving skills, proactive, good team player and able to meet tight deadline.
• Confident and able to work under pressure.
• Good interpersonal, strong negotiation, interpersonal skills, detailed with excellent problem solving skills and a
team player.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Good command of spoken and written English
