Job description for QHSSE Manager at Wilhelmsen Ships Service (S) Pte Ltd
- Diploma or Degree in Workplace Safety & Health or similar discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ of QHSSE working experience.
- Certified WSHO, risk assessor and internal auditor for ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001.
- Service-oriented and safety-minded approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meticulous.
- Knowledge of current trends in QHSSE best practices/processes, technology, and ministry of manpower in workplace Safety & Health practices.
- Orientation / Induction – ensure QHSSE inductions are undertaken by all employees and details recorded.
- Ensure all necessary QHSSE-related licences are in place and renewed on time.
- Act as Workplace Safety Health Officer (WSHO) for the site.
- Be visible in operations to correct and support as needed to ensure a strong HSSE culture.
- Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to raise safety awareness.
- Plan and facilitate HSSE trainings, drills, and inspections.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits as per regional audit program.
- Report monthly QHSSE performance.
- Post learnings monthly on safety bulletin boards to raise safety awareness and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Facilitate safety committee meetings.
- Assist in following up on the Improvement Potentials.
- Assist in incident investigations and preparation of reports.
- Support the implementation of job safety risk assessments.
- Ensure all risk assessments of all new or changed processes, work functions are undertaken.
- Maintain the overview of rules and regulations and coordinate their review for applicability.
- Review incident reports and implement the mitigation plan to the respective parties involved.
- Responsible for Singapore Site / Warehouse Team to ensure safety compliance and to achieve control, monitoring, and implementation of QHSSE align with company policies and local regulations.
- Responsible in management and liaison with auditors to acquire or maintain company’s accreditations.
- Be the representative of Singapore QHSSE Manager to participate in regional QHSSE meetings and drive initiatives.
- Conduct and facilitate monthly safety committee meeting.
