Job Summary:
We are looking for a QA Tester with at least 2 years of experience in mobile and web application testing to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our systems, particularly focusing on frontend and application integrations. You will collaborate closely with developers and cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to design, execute, and document test strategies from end to end. Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Review and analyze system specifications to understand software requirements.
Collaborate with developers and business users to create effective testing strategies, plans, and comprehensive test cases.
Execute manual and automated test cases (SIT, UAT, BVT, TVT, and regression testing) and analyze the results.
Test frontend and app integrations, covering end-to-end user workflows from system intake to final processing.
Evaluate product code according to specifications and assist in troubleshooting or problem-solving.
Track, document, and report bugs, errors, and defects to the development team using tools like JIRA.
Create detailed logs, test scripts, and closure documentation to track testing phases.
Conduct pre-release and post-release/post-implementation testing to ensure seamless product delivery.
Work with cross-functional teams to maintain high quality throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Perform all tasks in accordance with BPUI policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Informatics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent bootcamp certification).
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience as a QA Tester or QA Engineer, handling web and mobile application testing.
Domain Knowledge: Previous experience testing insurance systems or financial technology modules (e.g., underwriting, new business, or policy management) is a strong plus.
Testing Skills: Strong proficiency in manual testing methodologies, including SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
Automation & Tools: Familiarity or hands-on experience with testing and automation tools such as Cypress, Katalon, Postman, Selenium, JMeter, Zephyr, or Testomat.io.
Technical Plus: Basic knowledge or understanding of frontend development technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Next.js, Git) is highly advantageous.
Soft Skills: High attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and clear communication habits within Agile/Scrum teams.
Language: Native proficiency in Indonesian and intermediate proficiency in English.
Working Arrangement: Willing to work fully from the office (WFO).
