Job description for Purchasing & Procurement Officer at Room Studio
As Purchasing & Procurement Officer, you will own how materials and services are sourced, bought, and delivered across our projects. a function that
sits directly on the critical path of every project we run. This is a newly created role. Rather than stepping into an established system, you will be
building one. mapping how we buy today, designing a process that holds, and standing it up while projects are live. You will have real ownership of the
function and a direct line to management, along with the accountability that comes with both. Full-time, based in Greater Jakarta.
Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and onboard reliable material suppliers and subcontractors
Compare quotes from multiple vendors, and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery
Build and maintain a supplier database and price list from scratch
Manage end-to-end procurement process, including purchase orders, schedule coordination of delivery (JIT) and resolve issue
Set up material receiving checks with site teams, and resolve shortages, damage, and returns
Track deliveries and coordinate with Finance on vendor payments
Analyze procurement data and develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost and efficiency
Work and collaborate closely cross division to ensure effective, efficient and smooth delivery process
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, Interior, Management, or a relevant field
Minimum 3 years in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably in interior, fitout, or construction
Solid knowledge of civil and interior materials
Solid knowledge of construction especially interior materials
Proficient in Excel and procurement or purchasing software
Proven ability to build or improve a procurement process
Strong negotiation and communication skills to build and hold vendor commitments
A fast learner who can quickly understand how we work today and put a better system in place
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to document and standardise processes
