Job description for Purchaser at French Chamber Of Commerce In Singapore
On behalf of one of its clients in the marine industry, the French Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Purchaser
Responsibilities :
• Responsible for sourcing and identifying potential supply and service providers
• Reviews purchase requisitions and clarifies with requestor on any discrepancy or incomplete information with regards to specification, quality, quantity and delivery requirements
• Ability to summarise sourcing recommendations and convince stakeholders to the recommended sourcing decisions
• Prepares commercial bid evaluation reports, purchase orders and documentation for procurement activities, ensuring purchase contract has been clearly addressed to the agreed specification requirement, terms and conditions under the supervision of senior team members
• Excel in supplier negotiations using multiple approaches to achieve the best value/deal out of each and every deal
• Prepares, checks and initials purchase orders
• Obtains required approvals and places orders
• Expedites orders to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Executes project procurement plan to ensure that all awarded orders are technically and commercially procured at best value in a timely and accurate manner under the supervision of senior team members
• Implement procurement activities according to internal policies, standards, templates and best practices
• Any other responsibilities as instructed by your management
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in Marine Industry for supplies and services
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Meticulous and able to work under pressure
• Knowledge of SAP B1 will be an advantage
• Demonstrated integrity, independent thinking and judgement
