Job Summary
Manage construction project cost control and contract administration by liaising with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers. Prepare cost estimations, evaluate progress payments, and ensure compliance with project specifications and government requirements.
Responsibilities
• Establish and maintain effective communication with consultants and subcontractors to support project objectives
• Prepare detailed cost estimations, quantity take-offs, cost evaluations, progress payment claims, and variation orders (VOs) for construction projects
• Administer contracts by sourcing quotations from specialists, subcontractors, and suppliers; prepare comparisons; negotiate terms; and award contracts
• Forecast and determine material costs required for construction projects to support budgeting and procurement
• Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping of all contractual and project-related information
• Create comprehensive costing summaries and price comparisons between suppliers to inform decision-making
• Review project specification variations and advise the Project Manager on associated cost impacts
• Measurement of quantities and taking off. Preparing Bill of Quantities for project during tender, construction, sourcing, variation and payment verifications.
• Provide strategic direction in construction planning and coordinate work progress with subcontractors, clients, and consultants to meet scheduled timelines
• Oversee project management processes, ensuring operational and administrative procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle
• Liaise with relevant Government Authorities to secure necessary submissions, clearances, and documentation for project compliance
• Conduct site visits to verify construction aligns with the Method of Statement and project timeline requirements
• Report construction progress and issues to management to facilitate informed decision-making
• Preferred competencies and qualifications
Experience
• Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in luxury homes construction or related field
• M&E experiences will be an added advantage
• Proficient in CAD, with knowledge of model-based construction software, REVIT
• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications and contract administration
• Demonstrated interpersonal, analytical, and negotiation skills
• Strong teamwork
