Brief Description:
This role is tied to a youth community internship programme and thus applicants have to be Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident aged 17 to 25 years old:
- Available for a 5-6 months full-time internship
- Current student from ITE/ Polytechnics/ Autonomous Universities, or other educational institutions (e.g. private education institutions and overseas institutions) or currently in transition phase (e.g. awaiting for University) and keen in the social and community sector.
- Able to communicate with peers and actively participate in group discussions during service sessions and group learning activities.
The intern will support the planning, coordination, and monitoring of projects—including events, financial tracking, and stakeholder engagement—to ensure smooth and effective execution.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within scope.
- Monitor project progress, track deliverables, and support reporting and documentation efforts.
2. Support Financial Oversight:
- Review and analyze spending reports submitted by project applicants to ensure compliance with budgets and financial guidelines.
- Assist in preparing financial summaries and identifying areas of variance or concern.
3. Community Outreach:
- Organize, coordinate, and implement community events, workshops, and engagement activities.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution and build relationships with community partners.
4. Conduct Research:
- Perform research on relevant social issues to inform project decisions and strategies.
- Compile and present findings in a clear and actionable format to guide program development.
Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm
Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
