Hatch Academy runs skills and employability programs in Digital Marketing and User Interface, User Experience Design with a focus on supporting learners from all walks of life. Hatch Mediahouse provides trusted and accessible digital consultancy coupled with a suite of digital and design services to help organisations navigate their digitalisation journey. Program Design
We are looking for someone who is passionate about optimising curriculum effectiveness through good design. You will be involved in reviewing program outcomes and improving curriculum design to better meet the needs of learners and companies. You will have the opportunity to learn and apply pedagogical frameworks and witness how they help learners grow. You will succeed in the role if you are an objective and systems thinker and would like to make a difference to the lives of others.
Roles & Responsibilities
1) Conduct user interviews and research, and map out the learner's development journey
2) From data collected from learners and companies, develop ways to improve curriculum design and delivery
3) Support the alignment of Hatch's curriculum with national upskilling frameworks
4) Support Hatch's outreach and engagement work across a range of consumer and business profiles
Learning Opportunities
1) Learn User Research skills and practise on this segment of the UX process
2) Learn and experience the iterative process of curriculum design
3) Understand how design can be applied to meet the needs of different stakeholders
Who are we looking for?
We look for people who are mission-aligned, with the ability to get work done, and are eager to grow in a social impact driven startup. How we evaluate them is by listening to the head, heart, and gut, from what is usually not captured on paper. Qualifications and work experience are relevant but are not exclusive proxies of capability. In shortlisting our candidates, we also look at instances of past work and evidence of a “can-do” attitude - we sometimes take a short call with candidates first to get to know them better before deciding whether to proceed with an interview.
For internship positions, we are looking for students from local Institutes of Higher Learning who are able to commit for a minimum of 5 months. This includes students who are looking to fulfil internship requirements or have plans to take a Leave of Absence.
