Job Summary
A Process Specialist leads production teams and manages manufacturing processes by setting up, operating and maintaining machinery and equipment to ensure efficient, safe and high-quality production output.
Responsibilities:
- Lead teams of production operators to achieve daily production targets and maintain product quality
- Set up and adjust machine parameters to optimize production efficiency and product standards
- Operate and maintain production equipment to ensure continuous and safe manufacturing processes
- Follow production schedules and monitor output to meet planned targets
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure all products meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve malfunctions promptly
- Maintain accurate production records for raw materials, packaging and finished products
- Ensure the production environment is clean and complies with safety procedures
- Apply and adhere to operating procedures and standards consistently
Required competencies and certifications
- Food Safety and Hygiene-1 certification
- Preferred competencies and qualifications
Nitec/Higher Nitec in Food Science/Technology or equivalent
Ability to understand and converse in English
Experience or knowledge in food production
Basic knowledge of control systems and operation of PLC
Basic understanding of food processing technology
Experience with integrated manufacturing excellence, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), or similar operating systems
Willingness to work on rotating shifts (day and night)
