Job description for Procurement Specialist at Ineos Aromatics Indonesia
- The purpose of this role is to procure the right materials and/or services to meet the plant’s production needs, in a timely fashion, at the right cost, through selecting the capable suppliers or contractors by using the right sourcing and contracting strategies.
- This role contributes to the safe and reliable operation, supplier performance management, and cost reduction.
- To perform on this role, English language proficiency (verbal and written) is a must.
- Participate in identifying sourcing needs, development of specification and scope definition for equipment, materials
- Engage with stakeholders, challenge demand appropriately and critically reviews requisitions, specifications and scope.
- Involved in supplier selection. Conduct market research and source the market for best opportunities, partners and alternatives which fit for purpose.
- Pricing/terms negotiation: ensure purchasing at the lowest possible price the highest quality merchandise and services in accordance with the technical specifications and (project) requirements.
- Benchmark prices and commercial conditions to determine competitive price setting
- Prepare and issue purchase orders or coordinate with person assigned to create PO. Ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained throughout the process.
- Implement and execute contract renewal strategies and ensure timely renewal of all contracts
- Negotiate or renegotiate and administer contracts
- Evaluate and monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes. Documenting performance and service level agreements and monitoring vendor/supplier performance against those agreements.
- Manage contractor qualification process and coordinate HSSE evaluation
- Analyze the spend and supplier data for the development of suitable contracting strategy, procurement strategy and sourcing strategies, and execute such strategies.
