Job description for Legal Assistant at IU Consulting Bali
IU Consulting Bali is a legal and business consulting firm specializing in foreign investment, company establishment, licensing, and compliance in Indonesia. We work with both international and local clients to provide reliable legal solutions, with a strong focus on business growth and regulatory compliance.
We are currently seeking a Legal Assistant to support our expanding team in Bali. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about law, eager to learn, and ready to work in a dynamic consulting environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and preparing legal documents, including contracts, MoUs, legal notices (somasi), and statements of claim (gugatan)
- Support company establishment processes, including PT, CV, and PT PMA (foreign-owned companies)
- Handle business licensing processes through OSS RBA and other related regulatory platforms
- Assist in legal due diligence, document verification, and compliance checks
- Support the legal team in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and basic dispute handling
- Coordinate with clients, notaries, and government authorities (BKPM, OSS, Ministry, etc.)
- Maintain proper legal documentation, filing systems, and correspondence
- Monitor regulatory updates and assist in ensuring clients’ compliance with current Indonesian laws
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (S.H.) from a reputable university
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in legal, corporate, litigation, or legal consulting field
- Strong understanding of Indonesian business law, especially PT PMA establishment, OSS RBA, and licensing procedures
- Ability to draft and review legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail
- Familiar with legal processes such as contracts, corporate documents, and basic dispute handling
- Preferably has completed PKPA and UPA, and/or already sworn in as an Advocate
- Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English (both written and verbal)
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently as well as in a team
- Able to coordinate effectively with clients, notaries, and relevant authorities
