Job description for Junior Videographer / Camera Operator (interns welcome) at White Space Pictures
As a Junior Videographer you will spend approximately half your time in-office assisting with post-production, editing, processing, and video delivery to customers. The other half of time is usually spent on-location working with clients, or travelling to client worksites.
As a Junior Videographer you will train for 2-3 months prior to filming on your own, and will generally shadow a Senior Videographer. Typically you will be assigned a training partner during the first few months until you are competent enough to film to our standards. Upon completing your videography training, our sales team will slowly begin assigning you more complex and advanced video production projects. During training, you will also work with Senior Video Editors to better understand post-production.
White Space Pictures prefers to internal recruiting, and typically requires most of our videographers begin as Junior Videographers before moving to other positions within the organization. Typical career advancement includes Senior Videographers, Senior Video Editors, Motion Graphics Artist, Operations Manager, and Creative Director.
