Job description
As an Inventory and Quality Control Executive, you will manage inventory using a computerized database system and quality control of the inventory. With the highest standards of quality, safety and reliability, your work will achieve operational efficiency and excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee inventory and supply chain management according to company guidelines
- Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers, routine cycle counts and periodic stock take
- Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records
- Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to increase inventory accuracy, maximize efficiency and reduce operations costs
- Identify and implement essential inventory management techniques to improve supply chain operations
- Track rates of accuracy, purchase and return as well as defective items to inform quality control decisions
- Prepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports; review reports monthly with management
- Ensuring that operations complies with regulatory requirements.
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain & Logistics or related discipline preferably
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in supply chain functions (purchasing, operations, logistics, resource management, information workflow)
- Experience in warehousing operations, inventory management and warehouse management system (WMS) will be advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
- An independent self-starter who is willing to accept accountability with a sense of urgency
- Results-oriented, confident and resourceful
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
