Job description for HSSEQ Officer at Advario Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd.
Job Purpose
To assist in the terminal implementation of Occupational Health, Workplace Safety, Fire Safety, Security & Environmental programs and initiatives, in compliance with legislations and corporate guidelines. Also, assist in the Quality Management System administration and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in the development, improvement and compliance of the HSSEQ plans, policies, regulations and management systems
- Ensure all staff and contractors comply with HSSEQ standards and practices
- Inculcate good safety behaviour and further enhance a culture of safety amongst staff and contractors within the company
- Conduct HSSEQ training (e.g. AGT and APA) and communication sessions for staff and contractors
- Review the Method Statement, Risk Assessment of routine activities, Job Safety Analysis of non-routine activities
- Carry out daily site inspection within the company's premises
- Conduct HSSEQ accident and incident investigations. Ensure follow up on corrective and preventive actions
- Collate statistics relating to HSSEQ KPIs and prepare reports for the management in a timely manner
- Plan and coordinate emergency exercises/drills with relevant government authorities and neighbouring companies as per company's Emergency Response Plans and Spill Contingency Plans
- Supervise and Advise on the functional testing of emergency response equipment within the company's premises
Work Experience
5 years of Oil/Petrochemicals experience, with at least 3 years as WSHO role
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Possess knowledge related to Engineering and Oil and Gas plant management
- Possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, which enables he/she to be an effective advocate for occupational health & safety
- Ability to perform critical analysis and to innovate
- Experience in Petroleum & Flammable Material (P&FM) license application
- Strategic, analytical, resourceful and creative individual with excellent networking and interpersonal skills
Formal education, required licenses and authorizations:
- Preferably Diploma/Degree in Workplace Safety & Health (Level C) from a recognized institution, or other equivalent qualification
- Supervise Workplace Safety and Health in Process Plant Certification
- Plant/Oil/Petrochemical Industry Safety Course Certification
- Industrial Fire Fighting Certification
- Occupational First Aid Certification
- Fire Safety Manager (FSM) certification
- Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) certification
- A valid Class 3 driving license
- Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with Ministry of Manpower

- Lunch will be provided while in the terminal, and shuttle bus pick up point at Jurong East MRT
- Position will be based in Jurong Island
- Working hours: 0830 - 1700 hours, Monday to Friday
