Job description for Head of Data at Glints

We’re looking for a Head of Data to lead our data organization comprising the data engineering, data analytics and data science teams. We have been running a lean data operation, spanning from piping our data sources into a single warehouse, to providing stakeholders with analyses, to deploying our talent-job matching model. Given Glints’ recent growth, we are looking for a seasoned leader who can take our data capabilities to the next level.
The Head of Data is a strategic role that reports directly to the CTO. You will work closely with the Glints executive team, especially with the Head of Product and Head of Business Operations. This role will define and lead the execution of data vision and strategy while contributing to the overall vision and mission of Glints.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the execution of Glints' data strategy, including roadmap building, and levers identification;
- Build and lead the data engineering team to set up a solid data infrastructure with data quality monitoring systems;
- Expand and lead data analytics, data engineering and data science teams;
- Set up MLOps around our machine learning models to improve Search, Recommendation and Normalization work;
- Work with key stakeholders to identify innovative levers that the data team can pull to drive business outcomes; and
- Set up data analytics team operations to help stakeholders make rigorous data-driven decisions reliably.

Who We Are Looking For
- You should ideally possess a degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Econometrics or other relevant disciplines Strong track record of excellence professionally or otherwise;
- Intellectual curiosity, intellectual honesty and the ability to make connections quickly;
- Strong hands-on experience in leading strategic initiatives that create value;
- Prior experience in attracting and building great data teams, with experience in propagating cultural shifts in these teams;
- Excellent strategic thinking skills with a keen interest in exploring various strategies from the perspective of the CEO; and
- Strong leadership experience in data science and in the deployment of machine learning models.
