Gallery Associate (Sales & Marketing) – Contract Role (1 Year)

REDSEA Gallery is one of Singapore’s leading contemporary art galleries, showcasing an international range of contemporary artworks.
Located in the heart of Dempsey Hill, the gallery occupies a truly unique space within Singapore’s historic former colonial army barracks, now recognised as a cultural and architectural heritage site.
We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual with strong interpersonal and sales skills to join our team. Prior experience in sales or the arts is not required, but a genuine interest in learning about our artists and artworks is essential.
The Gallery Associate (Sales & Marketing) supports the gallery’s sales, client engagement, marketing, and daily operations. The ideal candidate is personable, organised, proactive, and highly meticulous.
Job Scope
Sales & Client Relations
• Provide an excellent experience and customer service to all gallery visitors
• Assist with artwork sales to walk-in and online clients (training will be provided)
• Support the team with client outreach, follow-ups, and relationship management
• Coordinate artwork logistics and installations
• Participate in art fairs
Marketing & Communications
• Assist the Marketing Executive in creating and executing marketing collaterals
• Manage the gallery’s website and newsletters (training will be provided)
• Support exhibition planning and promotional activities
Administration & Operations
• Support daily gallery operations, including visitor reception and enquiries
• Maintain inventory records, stock-taking, and sales documentation
• Assist with artwork wrapping, exhibition setup, and opening receptions
Requirements
• Positive learning attitude and proactive mindset
• Passion for the arts
• Highly motivated with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; a secondary language is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Photoshop and Affinity Designer is an advantage
• Willingness to assist with general gallery duties as needed
• Must be able to work weekends and public holidays
