Job description for Frontend HTML CSS Developer (Remote) at Boost Commerce
- Work closely with other internal and external designers, developers, quality assurance engineers, engineering, business analysts to understand both the front-end UI and the underlying technology, develop and maintain frontend web app using mainly CSS/HTML/Javascript.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to pixel perfect HTML/CSS coding to quality assurance support. Attention to detail in visual arrangement, color, typography and flow with the ability to communicate design strategies effectively
- Maintain coding standards and practices and ensure you are meeting development standards, writing clean, consistent, flexible optimized and accessible front end code with a focus on module and reusable code, best performance and highest compatibility of multiple devices and browsers. Identify opportunities to replace redundant and manual design, development & business activities with automated technical solutions.
- Writes clean, well-documented code for company's products
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 2 years of working experience as Frontend developer (HTML/ CSS).
- Experience with hand-coding HTML/CSS, converting from PSD to HTML/CSS
- Experience with the capabilities and limitations of modern web browsers, UI frameworks, HTML5, CSS3.
- Experience delivering websites that adhere to SEO / Accessibility best practices
- Experience with Photoshop/Figma/Sketch/Illustrator
- Experience with SCSS(Sass) or other CSS preprocessors, BEM methodology.
- Experience working on e-commerce platforms such as: Shopify, WordPress, Joomla, Magento or WooCommerce
- Testing cross-browser, cross-platform, and/or cross-device compatibility for inconsistencies
- Basic Knowledge of VanillaJS & ReactJS
