Job description for Food Technology Intern at Zimplistic Pte Ltd
Responsibilities:
- Conduct experiments and provide technical Food Science and Engineering support to the product development team.
- Explore the application of existing products and processes.
- New product and application development.
- Selecting raw materials and other ingredients from suppliers
- Dealing with any customer complaint investigations or product issues
- Compiling/checking/approving product specifications and labelling Developing the ability to repeat processes to ensure consistency and safety; Liaising with technical and commercial colleagues in procurement, sales and technical services, and marketing and distribution, and with certification and hygiene agencies.
- Working with engineering/production to develop solutions to production issues whilst maintaining food safety. Investigating and setting standards for safety and quality Perform troubleshooting and resolve quality issues with the QA team Establish product specifications and documentation Study methods to improve the quality of foods, such as flavour, colour, texture, nutritional value, convenience, or physical, chemical, and microbiological composition of foods. Skills:
- Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills and good teamwork abilities. Should have meticulous attention to detail, especially with regard to food hygiene and safety
- .Qualification:Currently pursuing - Bachelors/Masters Degree in Food Science and Engineering. Relevant research/work experience in dough and bakery products. Knowledge of engineering/production to develop solutions for food processing. Understanding of product (inc. formulation ) and process development for bakery products. Designing R&D projects for food process development and supporting QA/QC. Technical problem-solving skills to drive new ideas and strategies on new product development.
