Role Description The Finance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore, responsible for overseeing financial planning, reporting, and control for Silversea Media. This role manages budgeting and forecasting, prepares monthly and annual financial statements, and ensures compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. The Finance Manager will monitor cash flow, handle cost and revenue analysis, and provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making. Daily tasks include supervising accounts payable and receivable, coordinating audits, improving financial processes and controls, and collaborating with regional finance and business teams. The role also involves supporting management with financial modeling for new initiatives, monitoring key performance indicators, and contributing to continuous improvement of financial systems and tools.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
Candidates should possess solid accounting and compliance skills, such as proficiency in financial reporting, knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations, and experience with audits.
Candidates should possess operational finance skills, including managing accounts payable and receivable, cost control, and process improvement in finance operations.
Candidates should possess business partnering capabilities, including the ability to translate financial data into business insights, support strategic decision-making, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Candidates should possess proficiency with finance and productivity tools, such as cloud based accounting software( eg: Xero, QuickBook) and advanced MS Excel
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field are preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3–4 years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Experience working in a tech startup, SME, or lean boutique environment is a strong advantage, as you must be comfortable being an independent, sole contributor initially.
Language Skills: Professional fluency in English. Chinese speaking is an advantage.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, high emotional intelligence (EQ), adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving tech environment. Great team work spirit.
