Position Overview
YouApp Malaysia Sdn Bhd are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Finance Executive to join our growing Finance & Operations team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting strategic financial planning as the company scales. Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Own the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
- Maintain and ensure the integrity of the general ledger and financial records.
- Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and forecasting to support business decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, financial models, and scenario planning.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on financial data trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline. A professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CA) is an advantage.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, or a related field. Experience in a startup or tech environment is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting standards and tax regulations, particularly in Singapore (GST, corporate tax). Familiarity with Indonesian financial regulations is an added advantage.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a lean team environment.
