We’re on the look for Finance and Accounting Trainee to join our Finance team to help grow that mission in Asia.
What You'll Be Doing
- Data Delivery:
- Deliver complete, quick and accurate financial data for financial analysis within the specified deadlines
- Assist in month-end / quarter-end / year-end closings of all GL accounts
- Generate and maintain reliable, complete and accurate relevant monthly / quarterly / yearly supporting schedules to financial reports
- Assist in creating and delivering accurate management account and consolidation report before deadline
- Assist in generating sales / expense / cash flow report to provide analysis and insights for management decision
- Financial Process Improvement
- Improve the (1) finance operation and (2) reporting efficiencies through process automation, sourcing and implementation of new reporting solutions
- Maintain and document financial systems, processes and controls that successfully meet statutory compliance requirements
- Regulatory reporting
- Assist in regular financial audit and annual filing with external parties
- Assist in preparing and submission of GST/VAT/Consumption Tax/Service Tax/Business Tax returns within regulatory deadline
- Prepare and file returns to government for matters such as licence renewals, CPF and MAF
- Budget Control
- Assist in the budget planning and execution process.

- Any other duties and special projects assigned by your Immediate Supervisor (s)
Competencies
- Completing the month-end closing for operating entities
- Researching the latest financial reporting standards
- Preparing the consolidated financial statements
- Handling all the government reporting in Singapore
- Creating dashboard to visualize and present important operational and financial data
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
- Basic knowledge in IFRS
- Strong desire to get the numbers right
- Eager to learn, proactive and have a can-do attitude
- Continuous improvement mindset, excellent communication and effective collaboration skills across all levels
- Exceptional organization, prioritization, project management, multi-tasking and time management skills
- Ability to self-direct work in an unstructured environment
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software
About the Traineeship
- Education Qualifications Required for the Traineeship Role: University Degree
- Duration of Traineeship: 9 months
- Eligibility Criteria for SGUnitedTraineeships:
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident; and Graduated or graduating in calendar year 2019 or 2020 from ITEs, polytechnics, universities, or other educational institutions (e.g. private universities and overseas institutions); or
- Graduated earlier from above institutions and completed National Service in 2019 or 2020
