Calling all aspiring changemakers, come join Singapore's first co-operative of active citizen changemakers and help to create a more inclusive and caring Singapore!
Who We Are
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has - Margaret Mead
A Good Space started in 2017 as an informal social movement, supporting citizen changemakers across a variety of social issues (e.g. mental health, migrant workers, seniors, low-income, etc) to advocate for their causes and create positive social change.
3 years on, we were registered in March 2020 as Singapore’s first non-profit co-operative to gather diverse changemakers, activists, social entrepreneurs, charities and community-based groups as a collective changemaking force -- to collaborate, innovate and create a Singapore we can all believe in.
We hope to do 3 main things for Singapore:
Changemaking is difficult and lonely, so we create a nourishing environment for changemakers to sustain themselves and their initiatives
Social issues are complex and inter-connected, so we bring together diverse changemakers to create meaningful solutions that lead to positive change
Businesses can be a force for good, so we inspire employees to care about social issues and harness their personal and organisational resources to create social change
As we embark on this journey to write a new chapter for changemaking in Singapore, we need some help!
We are looking for a Digital Marketer to be at the forefront, working alongside us on the following main activities:
Brainstorm new content ideas and create content (videos, social experiments, articles, etc) that increase awareness of AGS and its social media channels.
Designing and implementing a content marketing plan, administering content calendars, social media and content production best practices
Plan and implement digital marketing campaigns, craft social media articles, write articles and design graphics, manage A Good Space's social media presence and utilize a variety of digital marketing strategies to boost online visibility for A Good Space.
What You'll Experience
We are committed to your learning and growth. Should you be selected, here are some unique experiences that you can look forward to:
Gain a deeper appreciation of diverse social issues (e.g. differently-abled, climate change, migrant workers, mental health, etc) by befriending some of Singapore’s most passionate changemakers.
Learn the tactics, tools and strategies to create impactful and innovative content that raises awareness for and advances diverse social issues in Singapore.
A safe platform to experiment ideas and spearhead impactful campaigns that can amplify our social change.
We are looking for are 3 specific qualities:
1. Ownership
You are committed to A Good Space like it is your own initiative; continually asking questions on how we can improve and do better. Even if it means additional reading or meeting new people to find answers to those questions, you'll do it.
2. Integrity
You are honest, trustworthy and commit to doing what you say. To help you grow, we'll entrust you with important responsibilities that will stretch you past your comfort zone and we need to know that we can count on you.
3. Excellence
We are looking for people who share our drive in starting a movement and building a community that serves Singapore for years to come.
Additional Requirements Include:
Be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident aged 17 to 35 years old
Be a Student/Undergraduate from ITE, Polytechnics, Autonomous Universities, or other educational institutions (e.g. private education institutions and overseas institutions)
Be available for a full-time internship ranging from three to six months between Mar – Sep 2021
Content marketing skills, videography and video editing skills are a bonus to have.
Any previous entrepreneurial experience (including failures) or involvement with any ground-up or volunteer initiatives will be seen as a massive advantage.
Candidates must be currently located in Singapore. Overseas-based candidates need not apply. All candidates must be prepared to go through at least one face-to-face interview.
Here's what our trainee has to say about working at A Good Space:
What I loved about interning at A Good Space was being given the freedom to experiment and build things from scratch.
A Good Space’s commitment to open and honest communication, stemming from trust and empathy, also enabled me to build genuine connections with my colleagues, its community of changemakers, as well as external partners.
If you care deeply about bringing your authentic self to work and taking ownership over what you say and do, I believe you’d find A Good Space to be a nourishing place for your growth!
This is an opportunity like no other. If you feel like you are up to the challenge, click on the apply button and let’s have a chat!
