Job description for DIGITAL MARKER (GARMENT MANUFACTURING) at Trend Studio Bali
Duties/Responsibilities:
Digitize Approved Patterns from Manual Pattern - must be exactly the same as the approved Manual Pattern
Grade Approved Patterns after Digitizing the Approved Manual Pattern, based on customer guidelines and Grading rules.
Create and develop digital markers for cutting based on Order, approved patterns, & consumption guidelines.
Optimize fabric utilization and layout efficiency to minimize material waste.
Ensure markers comply with production requirements, grainlines, shrinkage allowance, and cutting instructions.
Review tech packs, patterns, and BOM prior to marker creation to ensure accuracy.
Update and revise marker files based on production feedback or pattern modification.
Coordinate with Pattern Makers, Cutting Team, and Production Planning to meet deadlines.
Maintain organized digital files including marker history, versions, material width variations, and production batch folders.
Ensure marker output aligns with size grading, fabric type (stretch/non-stretch), print alignment, or placement requirements.
Conduct periodic consumption analysis and support the Purchasing team with fabric usage estimates.
Generate required reports for production (marker efficiency %, yardage consumption, costing comparison).
Troubleshoot any marker or file issues related to size scale, nesting, or output formatting.
Digitizing old manual pattern into into digital version for client’s library
Required Skills/Abilities:
Minimum 3 years experience in marker making within a garment manufacturing environment.
Experience with CAD systems (Richpeace or similar).
Strong understanding of pattern grading, garment construction, and cutting process.
Ability to work with various fabric types: lycra, woven, knit, printed, striped, placement print, etc.
Proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets for reporting.
Knowledge of consumption analysis and cost-saving strategies.
