Job description for Deep-Tech Venture Analyst Intern at Hello Tomorrow Asia Pacific
The Internship
Hello Tomorrow Asia Pacific seeks dynamic teammates who would like to contribute to and build familiarity within the deep-tech innovation and venture space. It will be a deeply rewarding experience that offers candidates an alternative exposure to and perspective of the dynamic innovation ecosystem we painstakingly curate. You will:
- gain multifaceted exposure to our regional and global deep-tech innovation ecosystems,
- work closely with senior team members across various start-up- and innovation-centric projects, and
- form insights into emerging innovation themes.
While extremely gratifying, our nature of work can be challenging to immediately grasp well. In order to be truly meaningful and for you to benefit from real team and project integration, our internships are designed to be ~6 months in duration (and no less than 4 months, at the minimum), whether on-site or fully remote. During this tenure, we commit thoughtfully to your learning and growth.
In support of your learning, you will be involved in research, analytics, and ideation, advancing to being entrusted with the execution of live projects and other initiatives. Depending on the candidate, exposure could range from:
- sourcing emerging innovations, mapping ecosystem stakeholders, and comprehending the dynamics therein;
- organising innovation-related activities and events (e.g. pitch/ demo days, industry roundtables, community dialogues, and networking sessions); to
- building knowledge-management databases and business/ data analytics.

The ideal candidate is deeply curious about technical innovations, and quick to identify how a sophisticated tapestry of stakeholders might be engaged to support the development of meaningful innovations at scale.
You are analytical and empathetic, able to respectfully challenge the status quo, and function as a champion in driving new initiatives. You thrive in fast-paced and ambiguous environments, where the opportunity to do something for the first time is relished rather than shunned. You are polished and professional at all times, while also always the first to roll your sleeves up and get your hands dirty.
In addition, you should
