Job description for Data Ops Project Manager (Vietnam) at Hypebeast
- Liaise with Hypebeast’s stakeholders, data owners and technology teams supporting a fast paced development environment.
- Organise and orchestrate data projects. These projects are ad-hoc (e.g. create data marts for customer metrics) or ongoing (e.g. develop a data warehouse for use, socialisation, and exploration by the company)
- Analyse and design solutions to meet the project requirements / stakeholder expectations
- Work with a geographically distributed technology team to ensure that the requirements / business need are well understood and the solution developed are in line with the requirements.
- Design, plan, control, and performance improvement of delivery processes, and checks and balances.
- Prepare process maps and suggest recommendations and improvements to current processes.
- Plan the approach, tools and templates to be used, timelines and monitor performance for analysis work
- Identify existing system bottlenecks and deficiencies, devise and assist in implementing robust solutions to address these shortcomings.
- Act as a functional / system expert and facilitate knowledge sharing / management within the team
- Develop data compliance protocols and standard operating procedures.
- 3 to 4 years of project management in technical projects.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, GCP), data infrastructure and analytics projects.
- Preferably PMP, TOGAF, or a project management-related certification.
- Able to use different PM methodologies (waterfall, agile, rapid prototyping etc) depending on the ask.
- Immaculately organised and methodical. Dogged in getting answers. Execute and align on tasks, but also orchestrate actions to achieve goals.
- Love learning and sharing new technical knowledge, willing to take on new challenges.
- Possess strong sense of ownership, adaptive to change, organised, and possesses an experimental knowledge-seeking mindset.
