The Cyber Security Operations Group focuses on security monitoring and proactively seeking potential threats in the cyber domain to protect DSO’s networks and system. Cyber Security Specialist
In this role, you will:
• Perform Cyber Security monitoring and incident response for DSO networks and systems against cyber threats
• Responsible for operalisation of threat hunting
• Support the team for any cyber defence related matters. This includes working closely with internal and external stakeholders / partners for the operations of CSOG
• Conduct forensics analysis on endpoints and.network logs to support the investigation
• Perform triage and implement containment and remediation procedures for cyber security incidents
• Conduct reverse engineering on discovered new suspicious samples during incident response
• Perform detailed oriented analysis to contribute to the defensive capabilities of the security operations centre
• Prepare SOC reporting for various stakeholders
• Perform cyber threat hunting to sniff out highly sophisticated cyber threats
• Provide technical assessments of network/system activities to ascertain motivation and intent of perpetrator with the goal to attribute them
• Support the development of tactics, techniques and procedures in providing proactive threat hunting and analysis against the available information sources
• Support the internal and external resources to research threats, vulnerabilities and intelligence on various threat actors and exploitable tools and platforms
• Develop good understanding of implemented technologies and services and proactively recommend security control improvements and techniques for monitoring, detection and incident response
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Cyber & Digital Security, Digital Systems Security, Infocomm Security / Security Management, Information Technology Security, with minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience
• Possess good knowledge of cybersecurity threat monitoring, log review and analysis, vulnerability assessment, security systems such as firewalls, intrusion detection system, AV software, endpoint security and vulnerability management software
• Possess good technical and domain knowledge in cyber secuirty threat monitoring, threat hunting, log review and analysis
• Able to cover various work schedules as deemed required
• Professional accreditation not limited to Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) or Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) will be an advantage
