Job description for Creative Design and Marketing Assistant at Adam Smith Center
Main Objective
Contributing to the branding and visual design of the organisation's educational and outreach activities
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the individual include
- Creation of marketing graphics to promote the educational resources and services of the organisation, under the direction of the pre-existing brand guide
- Assist the Director with conceptualizing new book cover designs and typesetting layout of new and upcoming educational resources
- Scheduling, planning and managing marketing activities on social media and email newsletter, through preexisting Zoho software
- Suggest new improvements to the UI/UX, design and functionality of existing organisation website
- Assist in developing new e-commerce function on website
Working Arrangement
Physical presence not needed at an office location. Individual may work remotely at own pace, provided work done is carefully tracked and regular updates are provided.
Profile and other requirements
- Individual will have to sign a confidentiality agreement to ensure confidentiality of any sensitive information being handled
- Must be at least a current university undergraduate student with a strong grasp of web, print and publications design.
- (Optional) Candidates who have done creative work on print media and news publications are at an advantage. Please show your portfolio.
Remuneration
The individual will be remunerated based on the number of hours worked per week. Depending on the qualifications and profile of the candidate (see profile and other requirements abovementioned), the hourly rate may range from $10-$20/hour.
