Job description
We're mainly looking for someone who can help us edit travel-related articles written by our freelance curators. It's an editor-heavy role, which means your main task will be to daily edit articles written by our freelance curators, and also help out with ad hoc writing, research and other editorial tasks from time to time. This is a full-time role, with fixed working hours.
Core responsibilities would include:
- Editing articles for grammar and house styles
- Research-related tasks - creating/reviewing article outlines
- Updating existing articles with content, images, and valid links
- Communication with freelance writers’ community
- Any other ad hoc writing/editing tasks
Requirements:
- Passionate about travel and writing
- Proficient in English and excellent grammar skills
- Ability to create travel engaging and inspirational content
- Ability to manage ad hoc editorial tasks provided independently
- Strong research skills and critical thinking
- Good time management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Team player
- Proficient with social media platforms
- Basic photo/video editing skills [optional]
Important details:
1. Five working days (9:30/10:00 AM – 6:30/7:00 PM SGT)
2. Eligible for local public leaves
3. Eligible for medical and paid leaves [after completion of probation period]
4. Eligible for progress for both designation and compensation within the company
Important note: The end of each month gets very busy for us as we strive to publish as many articles as possible to achieve our monthly goal. So we're looking for someone who's flexible and can work on a couple of Saturdays (or Sundays) during the rush period - preferably towards the second half of the month. You will get compensatory leaves for the working weekends.
Compensation: Based on experience & assessment test (TBD)
We're looking for a long-term association. Please commit only if you're looking for the same as well.
