Job description for Compliance Manager/ Officer (Insurance Finance Industry) at PolicyPal
PolicyPal is a digital direct insurance broker that enables individuals to buy, manage and optimise their insurance policies. We are also Singapore's first graduate from the Monetary of Singapore's (MAS) fintech regulatory sandbox.
Responsibilities:
Compliance and AML
- Assist with compliance and regulatory issues to support business
- Perform fact find and AML transaction surveillance reviews on suspicious transactions/ referral cases
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments and trends in insurance and financial advisory service markets to assess impact on the business
- Provide regulatory and compliance advice/ updates to front office and support functions
- Assist in preparing training materials on relevant compliance topics and conducting compliance training to the team
- Assist in advising on, drafting, reviewing, updating and implementing compliance policies, guidelines and procedures
- Assist with and follow up with MAS on routine enquiries, external &/ internal audit related matters
- Assist in preparation and coordination of compliance management reporting
- Assist in facilitating regulatory inspections, external and internal audits, and ensuring proper escalation and resolution of issues identified
- Participate in providing compliance input and support into business-related projects
Finance
- Prepare management report and submission
- Liaise with auditor and tax agent on preparation of regulated returns to the authority
- Carry out ad-hoc tasks/ projects as requested by supervisor
Requirements:
- Minimum Degree in in any relevant field
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in Compliance and AML/CFT (Preferably in Insurance or Financial institutions)
- Experience with dealing directly with regulators and auditors
- Knowledge of AML/ CFT processes
- Knowledge of Singapore/ MAS rules and regulations
- Team player and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Good communication skills
