Job description for Chief of Staff to CEO at Doyobi
This is the job I thought I signed up for when I joined management consulting straight out of college. Be involved in strategic decisions that make a real impact on top and bottom line. Get involved in the day-to-day running to really understand the business. Hire great people so you're working with people smarter than you, folks you can learn from.
If you're optimising for how much you get paid next month, don't bother applying. There are many other jobs that pay better. If on the other hand you want to get hands on building a real business, learn an incredible amount, and stop wasting your life making pretty slides, read on.

- Building relationships and establishing communication channels with all employees, being a liaison for project updates, employee well-being, proposals, and planning
- Developing external relationships with potential partners and talents, building a network of individuals and organisations to tap on to as the company grows
- Support the CEO in all inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
- Learn A LOT about the startup world (CEO has been investing in early stage startups for 10 years)
What excites us about you:
- Analytical and detail-oriented: Strong analytical and problem solving abilities, having the ability to both focus on the details and zoom out to see the big picture
- Teamplayer and communicator: Strong written and verbal communication skills, and able to work with a cross-functional, multi-country team from diverse backgrounds
- Strong project management skills: Ability to prioritize time spent across different projects, and comfortable with the ambiguity in a dynamic, fast growing environment

- Critical thinker: Ability to connect the dots across multiple disciplines and domains
- Empathy and emotional awareness: Reads the room and is able to handle sensitive issues with both candour and tact

For us to get a good grasp of how you think, we'd greatly appreciate a cover letter sharing why you think you'd be a good fit for this role!
