Job description for Chef De Partie/Junior Sous Chef at Homeground Grill & Bar
- Learn and gain mastery of our various food stations, including the charcoal grill station
- Be responsible for the quality, taste and presentation of food served in accordance with the restaurant’s standards
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Ensure accurate use and maintenance of all production and kitchen equipment
- Continuously seek out opportunities for cost cutting and efficiency through review, analysis and feedback
- Ensure high food hygiene standards
- Help to manage inventory and accept orders and deliveries on behalf of the restaurant
- Encourage the team to always strive for higher standards
- Assist in training and supervision of the kitchen team
- Relevant culinary experience (experience with charcoal grill is not required, but a bonus)
- A dedicated team player who believes that we achieve the best results as a team when we help each other to reach our personal best
- A healthy appetite for learning and growing new skill sets
