We handle 75,000 port calls per year, which means that every 7 minutes, anywhere around the world, we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfil its purpose. We match local expertise with strict global standards, making sure we consistently make our customers’ port calls as efficient and safe as possible.

We are looking for a Central Agent who will coordinate and service the performance of Husbandry port calls entering the Area. If you have the ability and aptitude to learn – then this is the role for you!
The Central Agent will report to Husbandry Central Agent Team Lead.
Qualifications you have for this role :
- Diploma in Maritime Studies, Logistics or Supply Chain Management or similar discipline
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience from the marine industry, preferably ships agency operations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and systematically
- Able to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities
Your future duties and responsibilities :
- Coordinate port calls for assigned customer accounts effectively, including proper monitoring of the vessel and attendance to any follow-up enquiries
- Ensure compliance with Ships Agency Standard Operating Procedures, including correct use of the operating systems (VOSS and Virtual Agent whenever applicable)
- For global port calls, monitor the execution of the port call and work closely with Operations to ensure that we meet customers’ expectations
- Ensure correct amount of pre-funding are received or the correct level of authority has approved any deviation, prior to performing the Port Call
- For port calls entering Singapore, advise on selection of contractors for goods and services provided to principals, including submission of competitive quotations, as required.
- Monitor and record expenses that arise during vessels’ port call
- Ensure Cash-in-Transit as per company procedure
- Proactively follow up, check and approve supplier’s invoices
- Suggest process improvements based on efficiency, productivity or cost effectiveness gains
- DA handling including correct data input, monitoring, and verification
