Job description for Captain Service at Bali Culinary Pastry School

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant service operations.
  • Ensure all service standards and SOPs are consistently implemented.
  • Lead and support the service team during operational hours.
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Handle guest requests, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Conduct daily briefings and assign duties to service staff.
  • Monitor cleanliness, organization, and readiness of dining areas.
  • Assist in training, coaching, and developing service team members.
  • Coordinate effectively with Kitchen, Bar, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma, preferably in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Captain Service or similar supervisory role in a restaurant, hotel, or fine dining establishment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Customer-focused with a passion for hospitality and service excellence.
  • Ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues effectively.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Well-groomed, professional appearance, and positive attitude.
  • Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
