Job description for Cake Chef at Origami
Job Requirements:
• Develop and create cakes and pastries menu.
• Develop new recipes for seasonal menus.
• Production of gelato, cakes and related desserts as required
• Preparation of ingredients and managing inventory levels
• Forecasting and ordering, liaising with suppliers
• Managing production schedule and team schedule
• Conforming to the company’s hygiene standard
Basic Requirements:
• Knows how to make tarts, pies, entremets, sponge cake, chiffon cake, choux and other pastries.
• Possessing either a certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking (or any relevant field) or proven experience in F&B industry.
• Able to work weekends & public holidays
• Holds a valid Food Safety & Hygiene Course certificate.
• Only hiring Singaporeans/Singapore PR or valid work permit holders.
Skills & Abilities:
• Proactive, motivated and reliable, with a keen attention to detail
• Punctual, good working attitude and able to work under pressure
• Good time management and discipline to ensure optimal work performance
