We're looking for a business development / operations intern to join the team and drive business and partnership leads for Upcircle as we grow and execute a number of pilot programs.
Following the launch of our Upcircle mobile application, we are currenly revamping the experience for our community of users. You will be helping to source for partners who have recycling and circular economy initiatives to be listed on the app.
Outside of the mobile app, we are launching a digital platform for consumers to book online services for recycling and are running a 4-month intensive program to engage with our target users. The program is sponsored by prestigious institutions in Singapore. You will be involved in managing the operations and tracking the efficacy of the program.
You will be working very closely with the founder on many first-of-its-kind projects. It will be a fast-paced environment, requiring the candidate to be able to work independently as well as communicate well with the team.
Ideally, you are someone who is entrepreneurial and see this as a platform to experiment and perform at your area of interest - business development and operations. Critical and independent thinking will be a great asset and bring us beyond the following job scope:
- Research both desktop and on-the-ground community groups to identify initiatives and partnerships.
- Create documentation in excel to track cadence.
- Manage our Shopify admin dashboard to track engagement.
- Be willing to execute on-the-ground surveys and high-touch marketing engagement with target users to drive adoption and engagement. This includes face-to-face interactions and "sales".
- Project manage the execution and logistics of running the program.
- Create amazing presentation decks for pitching of ideas.
There is flexibility in the scope as the work might require your input and help in different areas. However, even with the little regard for scope, we do respect your personal time and genuinely do not wish to slave drive our team members.
- Good at creating slides - keynote preferred but magic on powerpoint is also welcome.
- Excel - know how to manage data on excel e.g. vlookups and pivot tables for tracking.
- Have implemented email marketing campaigns before and used tools like Hubspot or Mailchimp.
- possess a can-do attitude
- are driven to excellence (doesn't have to be perfection)
- are creative (and perhaps a little quirky)
- are a greenie at heart but understand how to relate to the ones who do not share our eco ideals
- are dying to take ownership out of an internship
Interns with previous internship or working experience preferred.
We are hoping to land a unicorn - or make you one! =D
