Job description for Business Development Manager at PolicyPal
You will be
Joining a creative team dedicated to expanding new business verticals of the PolicyPal brand, engaging prospective consumers to learn about the inner workings of InsurTech. Here at PolicyPal, we strive to provide opportunities for our team to learn, grow and thrive. You will be playing an important role in the Business Development team and should be a self-starter with the ability to work across internal stakeholders, to qualify and drive new sign-ups.
Responsibilities:
- Revenue generation through end to end lead management (From qualification to registrations)
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing leads, to increase new interest and boost lifetime value of existing clients
- Work with the internal teams to develop and fine-tune processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Host client meetings and lead product demonstrations
- Support the team in the development of effective marketing strategies, through knowledge of constant AB Testing, accurate identification of target profiles, customer discovery and benchmark similar competitors
- Actively engage the relevant industry players to network and identify potential partners to deliver and conduct the potential business identified
- Work closely with the sales and marketing team to design, develop and implement effective outreach efforts leveraging on existing Academy’s resources. This will include identification and setting up new and effective marketing channels through partnerships with corporations, associations, marketing partners and other relevant agencies
- Support operations team in the effective pilot launch of all new business.
- Actively manage the feedback (verbal and written) from these pilot runs to ensure they are addressed effectively in the subsequent business expansion
- Any other ad-hoc operational and administrative matters that may arise from time to time depending on the business demands
Requirements:
- 2 to 4 years experience in business development or outbound consultative solution selling experience in B2B/B2C setting
- Skilled in uncovering needs, articulating value propositions, conducting virtual meetings and demo with clients
- Fantastic written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in any business set-ups and business development
- Strong in strategy, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Independent worker and a team player, with strong people management and organisational skills
