Job description for Business Development and Communications Intern at Soristic

Brief Description:

This role is tied to a youth community internship programme and thus applicants have to be Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident aged 17 to 25 years old:

  • Available for a 5-6 months full-time internship
  • Current student from ITE/ Polytechnics/ Autonomous Universities, or other educational institutions (e.g. private education institutions and overseas institutions) or currently in transition phase (e.g. awaiting for University) and keen in the social and community sector.
  • Able to communicate with peers and actively participate in group discussions during service sessions and group learning activities.

This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain versatile experience in outreach, marketing, and event management while making a meaningful impact.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Develop Qualitative Research Skills:

  • Learn and apply basic quantitative analysis techniques to interpret and present data effectively.
  • Utilize tools and software for data visualization and reporting.

2. Content Creation and Social Media Marketing:

  • Develop engaging content for social media platforms, newsletters, and other marketing channels.
  • Contribute to creative campaigns and strategies to increase online presence and audience engagement.

3. Enhance Writing and Communication Skills:

  • Draft and refine written materials, including articles, reports, proposals, and correspondence.
  • Ensure clear, concise, and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.

4. Support Business Development Efforts:

  • Assist in creating presentations, proposals, and pitches for prospective clients or partners.
  • Contribute to identifying growth opportunities and developing strategies for scaling initiatives.

5. Outreach and Partnership Communication:

  • Support outreach efforts to engage with potential partners and stakeholders.
  • Manage communications, follow-ups, and relationship-building activities with external organizations.

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

  1. To learn qualitative Research skills - Literature review, synthesis of research, coding of interviews
  2. To learn quantitative research skills
  3. To apply Events Management skills
  4. To create content for social media and support marketing efforts
  5. To practice Writing Skills
  6. To support in Business Development efforts
  7. To carry out outreach and communications efforts with potential partners

Daily Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9.00am - 6.00pm

Occasional weekend work for special events/projects
