Blue Ocean Opportunities (BLOO) Associate
Ocean Purpose Project (OPP) is seeking proactive and entrepreneurial individuals to support the identification, development, and implementation of sustainability-focused opportunities, partnerships, and innovative projects within the Blue Economy sector.
The BLOO Associate will work closely with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to explore new initiatives that create environmental, social, and economic impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Research emerging trends, opportunities, and innovations in sustainability, climate action, and the Blue Economy.
Identify potential partners, sponsors, clients, and collaboration opportunities.
Support outreach and relationship-building with organizations, businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, and community groups.
Assist in developing project proposals, partnership decks, and presentation materials.
Conduct market and competitor research to support strategic decision-making.
Support sustainability, environmental, and community engagement projects.
Assist in organizing meetings, events, workshops, and stakeholder engagement activities.
Contribute ideas for new initiatives that align with OPP's mission and impact goals.
Requirements:
Open to secondary school graduates, pre-university students, diploma students, undergraduate students, fresh graduates, and career switchers.
Background or interest in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Business, Social Sciences, International Relations, Communications, Public Policy, Entrepreneurship, or related fields.
Strong research, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or hybrid environment.
Comfortable conducting online research and preparing reports or presentations.
Passion for sustainability, environmental conservation, social impact, and innovation.
No prior professional experience required; training and mentorship will be provided.
