Job description for Assistant Sales Manager at Bliss Surfer Hotel
The Assistant Sales Manager assists the Sales Manager in planning, coordinating and implementing sales strategies to maximize hotel revenue through room sales, meetings, events and other hotel services. The role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and ensuring sales targets are achieved while delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the hotel's overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the Sales Manager in developing and implementing strategic sales plans to achieve departmental revenue goals.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities from corporate, government, travel agencies, wholesalers, MICE, domestic and leisure markets.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client visits, presentations and networking activities.
- Prepare and submit business proposals, quotations and contracts to prospective clients.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and follow up on potential business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Ensure timely responses to inquiries, proposals and contract negotiations.
- Conduct account maintenance visits to strengthen client relationships.
- Monitor client satisfaction and address concerns promptly to ensure repeat business.
- Support the renewal of corporate contracts and negotiated rates.
- Support the achievement of room revenue, banquet revenue and other hotel sales targets.
- Promote hotel facilities, accommodation packages, meeting rooms, F&B outlets and special promotions.
- Assist in maximizing occupancy and Average Daily Rate (ADR) through effective sales initiatives.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Update client databases, sales activities and account information in the CRM system.
- Maintain proper documentation of contracts, proposals and correspondence.
- Assist in preparing annual sales budgets and sales forecasts.
- Participate in travel fairs, exhibitions, sales missions, networking events and familiarization (FAM) trips.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to improve marketing strategies.
- Maintain professional relationships with corporate accounts, travel agents, event organizers, government institutions and business partners.
- Conduct courtesy visits and client appreciation activities.
- Resolve guest or client issues professionally to maintain long-term partnerships.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with hotel policies, procedures and ethical business practices.
- Maintain confidentiality of hotel and client information.
