Equity crowdfunding is a financing mechanism through which investors invest in startups in exchange for equity holdings. Such share holdings will entitle them to future capital gains as well as dividends declared by the startups.
Lending-based crowdfunding allows investors to lend money to a company and receive the company’s legally-binding commitment to repay the loan at pre-determined time intervals and interest rate.
