- Inspect and ensure the quality of welds
- Maintain welding tools and equipment
- Follow workplace safety standards and procedures
- Always follow specifications and instructions for maximum efficiency
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
- Plan layouts and procedures
- Maintains shop, equipment, tools, vehicles, for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of required items
- Set up components for welding
- Perform welding tasks based on technical drawings and specifications
- Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Report damages on machines and equipment
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
