We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor make an impact!

Location: Tuas

What will you do?

  • Responsible for hierarchical management of operators or teams of operators (job codes LWB 1, 2 & 3) in a Distribution Center/Warehouse.
  • Responsible for employee performance, development, engagement, discipline, etc.
  • Responsible for the performance of "standard work" within his or her sector or department. May occasionally fill in for or assist LWB1 or LWB2 operators as needed. May be responsible for temporarily moving or shifting individual operators from one position or sector to another depending on changes in demand or priorities. May or may not have budget responsibility.
  • Formulate, initiative and carry out staff training and ensure all members of the workforce recognise and understand their own contributions to improved environmental performance.
  • Enforce compliance with HSE and 5S rules throughout the sector, including reporting and managing incidents and near misses.
  • Enforce compliance with quality system and proper appliance of the defined processes and procedures to meet the required quality level.
  • As manager, he’s the legal responsible in case of accident.
  • Optimize daily / weekly balance workload / resources (internal, external storage and freight capacities).
  • Ensure management of the logistics process receiving goods > stocking > picking > Material handling > shipping finished goods and wastes.
  • Lead the SIM loop 2 with appropriated indicators & action plan and ensure the compliance with SPS of the SIM 1
  • Organize the training needs of teams and manage the versatility in accordance with the target defined..
  • Manage warehouse processes performance and his team according to SPS / SIM rules and cycle event of the plant.
  • Ensure inventories accuracy.
  • Guarantee that service level, quality environment, process lead time, maintenance & productivity goals are reached.
  • Manage the yearly appraisal* of all DVC inside the sector.
  • Can be, by delegation, the owner of the SPS Cards 1B 3C 7A 8D for the DC when there is no LWB6.

What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain / Logistics / Transport or any other related discipline.
  • At least 5 years’ practical experience with supply chain in managing processes & teams associated with planning, directing, and monitoring all warehouse activities.
  • Has experience managing a team of warehouse operators.
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations and terminology such as FIFO, MIGO and etc
  • Working knowledge on inventory management and transportation.
  • SAP & WM is a must. MS Office. Analytics skills.
  • Has strong analytical, troubleshooting, and presentation skills.
  • Digital savvy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in the English language (written and verbal)
