Position Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate movement, storage, and inventory management of customer goods. The role leads warehouse teams while driving operational excellence through the effective use of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, Power BI, Excel, and digital tools.
The incumbent will play a key role in improving productivity, inventory accuracy, reporting visibility, and process automation while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Management
Supervise daily inbound, outbound, storage, and inventory control activities.
Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and within agreed service levels.
Oversee receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, and stock movement activities.
Maintain warehouse housekeeping standards and adherence to safety regulations.
Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions.
Inventory & Systems Management
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and variance investigations.
Ensure timely and accurate transactions within WMS, ERP, and customer systems.
Monitor inventory movements and generate inventory reports for management and customers.
Support customer onboarding and inventory migrations into warehouse systems.
Drive data integrity across all warehouse systems and reporting platforms.
Digital & Data Analytics
Develop and maintain operational dashboards using Excel and Power BI.
Analyze warehouse KPIs and identify trends impacting productivity and service delivery.
Generate reports on:
Inventory Accuracy
Order Fulfilment Performance
Productivity
Customer Service Levels
Manpower Utilization
Safety Performance
Utilize advanced Excel functions such as:
Pivot Tables
Power Query
Lookups (XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP)
Data Validation
Dashboard Creation
Identify opportunities to digitize manual processes and reduce administrative workload.
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop warehouse operators and team leaders.
Conduct regular toolbox meetings and operational briefings.
Manage attendance, manpower allocation, overtime planning, and performance monitoring.
Ensure staff are trained on systems, SOPs, and operational standards.
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Process Improvement
Review warehouse workflows and identify improvement opportunities.
Support automation and digitalization initiatives.
Lead root-cause analysis for operational failures and customer complaints.
Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions.
Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement projects.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary operational contact for assigned customers.
Prepare performance reports and attend customer review meetings.
Coordinate with Operations, Transport, Customer Service, IT, and Finance teams.
Support implementation of new customer requirements and operational changes.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of warehouse operations experience.
At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership capacity.
Experience in 3PL, logistics, relocation, warehousing, or distribution environments preferred.
