Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Underwriting Transformation Intern to support the development and enhancement of automated underwriting systems. This internship offers hands-on exposure to rule-based decision engines, API integrations, process optimization, and data workflows.

You will work closely with underwriting, product, and technology teams to help streamline underwriting operations and improve automation performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in building and improving automated underwriting workflows
• Support development of rule-based and logic-driven decision systems
• Work on API integrations between underwriting systems and third-party data sources
• Analyse underwriting process gaps and identify automation opportunities
• Help document business logic and translate underwriting requirements into technical specifications
• Build dashboards and monitoring tools to track automation performance
• Participate in testing, validation, and deployment of automation tools
• Support data cleaning, transformation, and pipeline optimization

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or a related field
• Basic understanding of logical decision-making or rule-based systems
• Familiarity with SQL and/or Python (academic or project experience acceptable)
• Understanding of APIs and data structures (preferred but not mandatory)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Good documentation and communication skills
• Attention to detail and eagerness to learn
