Job description for Telecommunication Infrastructure Data Trainee at Bluetel Networks Pte Ltd
About the Role
This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to Singapore’s telecommunication infrastructure industry, including underground fibre networks, ducts, manholes, and as-built engineering records.
The trainee will support the digitisation and organisation of legacy telecom infrastructure records as part of the company’s infrastructure modernisation initiative. Candidates will gain practical experience in document management, data organisation, and telecom infrastructure operations within a licensed telecommunications operator environment.
No prior telecom experience is required. Guidance and training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Retrieval and Identification of Infrastructure Records
Retrieve and review archived project files and as-built engineering records.
Assist in identifying relevant underground infrastructure records, including ducts and fibre-related documentation.
Learn how telecom infrastructure projects are documented and maintained.
Support the sorting and categorisation of engineering records according to project references.
Records Organisation and Digitisation
Organise project records into structured folders and project groupings.
Check for existing softcopy records stored in CDs or archived media.
Scan and digitise hardcopy engineering drawings and documents where required.
Ensure files are properly named and archived according to internal standards.
Data Management Support
Assist in updating selected infrastructure information into the company’s master database.
Support basic data entry and verification activities.
Work closely with the infrastructure and engineering teams to ensure records are properly maintained.
Requirements
O-Level, N-Level, ITE, Polytechnic, or A-Level graduates are welcome to apply.
Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, file organisation, scanning).
Responsible, organised, and willing to learn.
Comfortable handling documents and archive records.
Interest in engineering, infrastructure, telecom, or data management is a plus.
