Job description for Technical Program Manager (Data Centre Infrastructure Delivery) at EPS Malaysia

Manage hyperscale data centre infrastructure delivery for a global technology company (US MNC)

12-month Contract prospects: Renewable, with potential permanent conversion for good performers

Willing to travel frequently between Singapore and Malaysia for site-visits (weekly basis)

5 days' work week

Preferred availability: Immediate or short notice


Key Scope:

Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale data centre infrastructure programmes, from strategic planning through execution, commissioning and handover.

Develop and implement infrastructure and network deployment strategies aligned with business and operational requirements.

Manage concurrent data centre construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring delivery within the approved scope, schedule, budget and quality standards.

Coordinate closely with design, engineering, construction, operations and network infrastructure teams.

Oversee data centre fit-out, low-voltage systems, structured cabling, fibre connectivity and other technical infrastructure workstreams.

Manage the integration of construction, MEP, network and technology infrastructure across all project phases.

Lead vendor and contractor selection, contract negotiation, performance management and issue resolution.

Establish and maintain project schedules, milestones, governance processes and reporting frameworks.

Monitor project expenditure and maintain effective cost control and financial governance.

Identify programme risks, dependencies and delivery constraints, and implement appropriate mitigation plans.

Provide clear project updates to senior stakeholders and facilitate timely decision-making.

Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality assurance and operational-readiness requirements.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, coordination and readiness for commissioning and handover.


The ideal candidate should be/have:

About 10–12 years of relevant experience delivering mission-critical or hyperscale data centre projects.

Proven end-to-end project experience covering several of the areas such as Data centre design and construction, MEP coordination, Tenant or technical fit-out, Network infrastructure deployment, Structured cabling, copper and fibre systems, Testing & commissioning and Operational handover.

Demonstrated experience managing large-scale and technically complex data centre construction or infrastructure programmes.

Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, network deployment and cabling requirements.

Experience translating technical infrastructure requirements into executable construction and deployment plans.

Prior involvement in AI infrastructure or high-density computing deployment within hyperscale or mission-critical data centre environments would be advantageous.

Strong project planning, scheduling, tracking and governance capabilities.

Solid experience in vendor management, contractor management and commercial negotiations.

Strong budgeting, cost-control and financial-management experience.

Demonstrated ability to manage risks, dependencies and complex delivery issues.

Excellent stakeholder-management, communication and presentation skills

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

PMP, PRINCE2 or an equivalent project management certification is highly preferred.
