Job description for Service Technician/Engineer at Asia Pacific Air Quality Group Pte Ltd

APAQ Group, part of ENVEA Global, is a highly skilled regional specialist company, focusing on air quality and meteorological monitoring systems. We provide governments, industries and environmental companies with consulting and training services on air pollution impact assessment and control strategy, and undertake turn-key contracts on supply, operation and maintenance of air monitoring systems and instrumentation.

APAQ is headquartered in Singapore with a branch office in Jakarta and project partners spanning the ASEAN Region. We are looking for a Service Technician/ Engineer for our Singapore Headquarter.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, maintenance and calibration work of meteorological and air quality monitoring instruments and systems.

Provide technical service support such as maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of meteorological and air quality monitoring instruments

Prepare full service and technical reports on installation, commissioning, maintenance and calibration works

Conduct product training and prepare training materials for clients

Provide technical expertise support for project proposals and developments

Undertake environmental monitoring & testing projects, involving operation, maintenance and calibration of professional equipment and collection of sample from various industrial and construction sites

Take care of field activities, including coordinating/managing subcontractor, technicians and workers to ensure environmental services are delivered in the safe and proper manner

Maybe required to perform other related duties as assigned, to ensure workload coverage

24/7 Standby duty as required, including outside regular working hours

Education and Skills Requirements

Relevant education in Engineering (Nitec and above)

Relevant experience in instrument/analyser operation, calibration and maintenance is advantageous

Good team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision

Possess excellent problem-solving skills

Good oral and written skills in English

Able to work in fast-paced environment, self-motivated and proactive

Strong desire to learn

Having a class 3 driving license is an advantage

Candidates with more experience will be considered for a Senior position

The position is based in Singapore, occasional overseas travel required
