Job description for Service Engineer at GEA Group
• Complete various assigned field service tasks in a timely and independent manner.
• Prepare, execute, and report on various service requests and projects.
• Regularly visit customers as scheduled to provide preventive maintenance and inspections, and recommend spare parts and equipment upgrades.
• Understand customer needs and promptly provide quotations for spare parts and upgrade solutions.
• Perform equipment installation, commissioning, validation, calibration, repair, and relocation.
• Maintain good relationships with customers to achieve customer satisfaction and customer service KPIs, promoting steady growth in after-sales service business.
• Provide timely, accurate, and competitive pricing suggestions for all completed upgrade projects, submit pricing and approvals, and follow up on the next steps in the order process.
• Provide relevant business information to new machine sales or superiors.
• Complete other temporary tasks assigned by leaders.
Job requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above, Majors related to Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical are required, with Pharmaceutical Engineering being preferred.
- Over three years of working experience, with a preference for those who have experience in after-sales service and sales in the solid dosage forms industry, or experience in customer service for engineering equipment.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
